Why Knot?

Boaters have traditionally secured their boats at docks using various docking cleats to which they fastened ropes with a milieu of knots. The effectiveness of this system has been highly variable depending on the knowledge and skill of the boat owners and that of their spouses and friends.

Frequently, boats are difficult to disengage from the dock or they become set adrift. These problems are accentuated in high traffic areas such as marine refueling, restaurant and shopping areas and other locales where boats need to be secured and unsecured rapidly or frequently.

Protect you, your boat and your pilings!  Make your dock look great!  Our unique piling wrap system was developed with safety and easy installations in mind (just wrap and screw...or glue).  PILE WRAPPER is made with a tough, high impact PVC cover and a strong polyester filling for the ultimate in piling protection.  Nothing else comes close!

Tough and abrasion resistant...won't fade, crack, peel, mildew or chip like other inferior products.  The PVC cover and POLYESTER core is impervious to all aspects of weather, fuel and oils.  Non Marring and UV insensitive.  The tough PVC cover will not rub off or damage your boat.

Pile Wrapper comes in a variety of standard widths to meet any piling needs.  To determine the width you need, measure around the widest part of the piling and add a minimum of two inches for overlap (pile wrapper easily overlaps and can even be “doubled wrapped”).  Now, measure the height of the pile you want to cover (this is the length of pile wrapper needed).  Pile Wrapper can go below the water line.  Do this for each piling.   

EXAMPLE:  

Say you have 5 pilings ranging from 11” diameter (34.6” around) to 12” diameter (37.7” around) and each piling is 10 feet tall.  Now, refer to the sizes tab to see the standard widths.  39” Pile Wrapper works well for pilings 12” and smaller.  You will need to order 50 feet (5 pilings x 10 feet tall). The middle roll is 39” wide x 20 feet long.  The other two rolls are 24” wide to be used on pilings 7-1/2” diameter and smaller.  Pile Wrapper comes in standard 50 foot roll lengths, with custom lengths available.
