Steel Truss Frames permit you to build the strongest of boat dock systems at an affordable price in a very short time. The Truss Frames are fabricated from heavy duty 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 3/16" carbon steel angles, separated by 1/2" diagonal round stock. A MIG welding process is used to weld the Truss Frames into two, three, four, five, six and eight foot widths, 12" high and 10' long. Custom size frames are also available. Once the fabrication is complete, the entire Truss Frame is hot-dipped galvanized. The Truss Frame can be bolted together (using galvanized bolts and washers) side-to-side or end-to-end to form the desired dock configuration. Steel Channel Docks have had great success in a variety of applications, from the America's Cup in Australia and the Pan Am Games in the U.S., to the largest boat shows and floating cars at Caesar's Palace. Because of their versatility and value, these docks are a favorite for marinas and homeowners alike. These docks are CAD designed and engineered for easy assembly. A Follansbee Steel Channel Dock, in most cases, can be assembled with two 9/16" wrenches and a 3/8" hex head socket. The 12" H x 10" L galvanized steel channel side sections are coated with a polyester polyurethane, electro-statically applied powder paint that is baked on for beauty and added corrosion resistance. The decking is CCA pressure treated, No. 1 yellow pine, pre-drilled, palletized and shipped directly to your job site. Wood Frame Docks are for those tough areas and/or saltwater applications. We start with No. 1 grade; KDAT pressure treated southern yellow pine. All framing lumber is cut to size and precision drilled using our drilling machine. Our hot dipped galvanized wood dock hardware and fasteners are used for stringer and corner connections. The end product is a tough dock that looks good and can withstand the elements. We make a variety of widths and lengths for you to choose from. Detailed wood dock hardware plan kits are also available for the Do-It-Yourself builders.
