Handling - Storage - Installing
HANDLING:
•When handling drums, installing or removing dock sections, lift – do not slide. Sliding float drums may result in puncturing or wearing a hole in the wall of the float drums.
STORAGE:
•Store the float drums upside down with vent hole facing down.
•Do not store float drum with vent plugs inserted in areas of hot temperatures and/or direct sunlight.
•Do not stack over ten feet high
•Do not drop the float drum, especially in cold weather, to prevent damages.
VENT PLUGS (If Applicable)
•Vent plugs are supplied for all vented float drums (separate box).
•Before inserting vent plug, be sure to drain the float of any water that might have seeped through the vent hole.
•Use a 5/16” allen wrench for inserting vent plugs.
•Use a silicone or pipe sealer on the plug to keep the inside of the float drum waterproof.
•Thread the plug into the float drum until the top of the plug is even with the top of the vent area.
INSTALLING:
•Minimum of 3/8 inch bolts or lag bolt / flat washer screws are required.
•Two- (2) fasteners on each opposite ends or sides are typically used for attachment. Additional fasteners maybe needed for rougher conditions.
•Either the opposite sides or ends of the float drum must be supported by the dock frame.
